One of the fundamental principles of the spinner rig, as the name suggests, is that the hook must be free to rotate and engage in the carp's mouth. The greater the freedom of rotation, the better the chances of a successful hook set: this is precisely the goal of the PTFE Spinner Ring Swivel.
This size 11 PTFE-coated swivel is designed specifically for this rig and is suitable for a variety of hooklink materials, as the ring eliminates the need for a connecting loop. Just like our standard version, the hook can be easily inserted or removed through the molded eye at the other end, which is then covered with a kicker to keep everything securely in place.
It is designed for use with strong wire hooks, such as the Krank X and Kurv X models. If you fish snaggy venues in the UK or abroad where stronger line is required, you will need an equally strong Spinner Swivel.
The Spinner X features a thicker wire than the original version, but can be used with full-sized hooks up to size 2, as well as classic heat shrink tubing and kickers.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid material, making it ideal for swivel coatings, as it reduces friction between the swivel body and the eye.
They are sold in packs of eight pieces, available in standard and XX versions.
